“Coming Up For Air” the new single from London-born, Berlin-based producer GRIP TIGHT, features American guest vocalist Lizzy Lizzy who’s layered harmonies fuse effortlessly with GRIP TIGHT’s hook laden R’n’B and atmospheric electronic sounds.

A favorite face amongst Berlin’s indie scene, GRIP TIGHT has already garnered support from a wide variety of radio stations and media outlets including: BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and Resonance FM. The new song pushes his modern soul production further forward whilst Lizzy Lizzy’s rich vocals inspire thoughts back to the timeless hits of the classic mid nineties US R’n’B scene.

Written from two perspectives, Coming Up For Air is a conversation between two lovers, journeying from hope to uncertainty and eventual re-assurance. It’s call and response:
“We can step together, I could take you there, are you feeling ready or coming up for air?”
“I’m not looking for a temporary time, you can reach me on my regular line”.

The music video is the exciting next instalment of MAI Production creative studio. Inspired by 70s European cinema, it uses suspenseful zooms and plays with the idea of timing, crossroads and fantasy versus memory.
